I've raised my boys and now it's my turn. I was single for many years, and raising them was tough, and they mean the world to me. They have always been my strength when I was down and worried about how I was going to take care of them. They have returned the favor and because of some health problems, have been there for me more than I would have hoped. I currently work as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst for the State of California. I work on many regulations involving Food Stamps, Welfare, Children Protective Services, etc. I have worked for almost 35 years and am looking to retire in a few years; although I don't know what I'll do with myself. I have cats and fish. I love nature and all it stands for. I believe we have to be kind and respect mother nature for it to be kind back to us. As we notice, we have not been respectful of her for a very long time. I have recently been studying the wiccan religion and find so much peace with it as it revolves around everything that revolves around us! I lost my dear mom on August 11, 1997. She had suffered for at least 25 years with mini strokes that finally took a toll on her. Her birthday is coming up on July 24th. I do not miss her any less than I did when she passed. I think about her and miss her every single day.

I love my family so much. I have two boys. Matty is 31 and Dave is 25. Matty is a bartender at the local bar. Dave works at Travis Air Force Base maintaining their grounds. Him and his girlfriend Chani have been so kind as to rent a house right around the corner from me. They worry. lol. I have a very good relationship with their dad, although we have been divorced since 1989.

I love to read. I don't shop much around town...do alot of 'internet shopping' which sure can get a person into trouble! I love surfing the internet. I have my animals, my kids, and of course, all of my friends. I love to garden when it's not too hot outside. Love to watch things grow.

The Who, Led Zeppelin, Journey, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Evanescense, love oldies and some new stuff too. I hear more than I normally would cuz I have my boys' influences!

I like thrillers. Things that put you on the edge of your seat. I like love stories too, but they have to have a good plot. Too many are all the same. SPOOKY. Anything spooky but not stupid or gorey.
